The buffy-fronted seedeater, with the scientific name Sporophila frontalis, is a species of bird that belongs to the family Thraupidae. It occurs in eastern South America, where its range is concentrated mainly in far northeastern Argentina and along the southeastern coastline of Brazil. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest, as well as subtropical or tropical moist montane forest. This species is currently threatened by habitat loss.
