About Spiraea lucida Douglas ex Hook.

Spiraea lucida, commonly known as shiny-leaf meadowsweet, is a flowering plant species belonging to the family Rosaceae. It is native to western Canada, ranging east as far as Saskatchewan, and the northwestern United States, ranging south as far as the Dakotas. Because this species exhibits large variation in leaf morphology, caused by its tendency to die back to the ground over winter, it was historically classified as a variety of Spiraea betulifolia, also called white or birch-leaf meadowsweet.
