Speiredonia spectans, commonly known as the granny's cloak moth, is a moth species that belongs to the family Erebidae. This species was first formally described by Achille Guenée in 1852. Its established range includes north-eastern Australia and Tasmania. Stray individuals of this moth have additionally been recorded on Norfolk Island and in New Zealand. The adult wingspan of Speiredonia spectans measures approximately 70 mm. The larvae of this species feed on plants from the genus Acacia.
