About Sparganothoides lentiginosana (Walsingham, 1879)
Sparganothoides lentiginosana, commonly called the lentiginos moth, is a moth species that belongs to the Tortricidae family. Its distribution spans the United States, where it occurs from Maryland to Florida, and extends west to Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma. Its range continues south into Mexico, where it is found in the states of Tamaulipas and Veracruz. Male individuals of this species have forewings that measure 6 to 6.5 mm in length, while female forewings range from 6.3 to 7.4 mm in length. Adult moths have been recorded in every month of the year except November and December. This species produces several generations each year.
