About Sparganothis pulcherrimana (Walsingham, 1879)

Sparganothis pulcherrimana, commonly called the aproned sparganothis or beautiful sparganothis, is a moth species belonging to the family Tortricidae. This species is found in eastern North America, specifically in the eastern United States and Canada, ranging from Florida west to Texas, and north to at least Iowa and Ontario. Its full distribution is not well documented, because it was historically confused with the related species Sparganothis niveana. The wingspan of adult moths measures 15–16 mm, and adults are in flight from April to June each year.
