Spargania luctuata, commonly known as the white-banded carpet, is a moth species belonging to the family Geometridae. This species was first formally described by Michael Denis and Ignaz Schiffermüller in 1775. It can be found across northern and central Europe, North Asia, and North America. This moth has a wingspan ranging from 30 to 34 mm, and its forewings measure 14 to 15 mm in length. The moth produces two generations annually, with adults active from the end of April through September. The caterpillars of this species feed on various species of rosebay willowherb.
