Sonora annulata (Baird, 1859), commonly known as the Colorado Desert shovelnose snake, is a species of snake that belongs to the subfamily Colubrinae of the family Colubridae. This species is native to the southwestern United States and the adjacent area of northwestern Mexico. Currently, there are two recognized subspecies of Sonora annulata. Within the United States, S. annulata occurs in southwestern Arizona and southeastern California. In Mexico, the species is found in northeastern Baja California.
