About Solidago wrightii A.Gray

Solidago wrightii A.Gray, commonly called Wright's goldenrod, is a North American goldenrod species belonging to the Asteraceae family. This species is distributed in northern Mexico, specifically in the states of Chihuahua, Durango, Sonora, and Coahuila, as well as the southwestern United States, including Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, western Texas, and the Oklahoma Panhandle. It is a perennial herb that can reach up to 110 cm (44 inches) in height, growing from a woody underground caudex with rhizomes. A single Solidago wrightii plant can produce up to 140 small yellow flower heads, arranged in a large, clustered rounded formation at the top of the stem.
