About Solidago velutina DC.

Solidago velutina DC. is known to have a basal rosette of leaves that remains intact when the plant flowers. Leaves on the stem become progressively smaller the higher they grow from the base. Each individual leaf features three prominent veins that extend from its base to near its tip. A single plant can produce up to 500 small yellow flower heads, arranged in a large branching cluster at the top of the plant.
