About Solidago spathulata DC.
Solidago spathulata DC. is a perennial herb. It grows up to 80 centimetres (31 in) tall and has a branching underground caudex. A single plant can produce a branching array of up to 100 yellow flower heads. Each flower head is about 6 millimetres (1⁄4 in) across and has around 8 ray florets. This species is native to the Pacific Coastal regions of the United States, specifically occurring in the states of Oregon and California. It grows in coastal sand dune and hillside habitats.
