Solidago rigida L. is a tall, leafy perennial goldenrod. It has leathery leaves that are large compared to most goldenrods, measuring 3โ€“6 cm (1+1โ„4โ€“2+1โ„4 inches) wide and 8โ€“20 cm (3+1โ„4โ€“7+3โ„4 inches) long. This species produces clusters of yellow flower heads in late summer and fall. Its fruit is a wind-dispersed achene.
