About Solidago ptarmicoides (Torr. & A.Gray) B.Boivin
Within its genus, Solidago ptarmicoides is set apart by its white to cream-colored flowers. Its flower heads are arranged in a flat-topped corymb, instead of the elongated raceme structure common to other members of the genus. A single individual of this species can sometimes produce up to 50 small flower heads. Its leaves are narrow, linear in shape, and often quite stiff. Solidago ptarmicoides grows best in dry, sandy soils and grassy meadow habitats.
