About Solidago leiocarpa DC.

Solidago leiocarpa DC., commonly called Cutler's alpine goldenrod, is a flowering plant species native to mountain regions of Québec, northern New England, and northern New York State. It typically grows at elevations greater than 800 m (2400 feet). This species is closely related to the more widely distributed Solidago multiradiata, and can be told apart by the shape of the phyllaries that surround its flower heads. Solidago leiocarpa is a perennial herb that reaches up to 35 cm (14 inches) in height. A single individual can produce up to 160 small yellow flower heads arranged in a flat-topped or conical cluster.
