About Solidago hispida Muhl. ex Willd.

Solidago hispida, commonly known as hairy goldenrod, is a North American species of flowering plant belonging to the Asteraceae family. Its native range stretches from Newfoundland west to Saskatchewan, and extends south to Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Georgia. This species is a perennial herb that can grow up to 100 cm (39 inches) tall, and it has a branching underground caudex. Its leaves are ovate (egg-shaped) or elliptical, reaching up to 20 cm (8 inches) in length. A single plant can produce over 250 small yellow flower heads, arranged in branching clusters at the tops of its stems.
