About Solidago erecta Banks ex Pursh
Solidago erecta Banks ex Pursh is a goldenrod species with the common names showy goldenrod and slender goldenrod. It is native to the eastern United States, where its range extends west from Massachusetts to Indiana, and south to Georgia and Mississippi. This plant is a perennial herb that grows up to 120 cm (4 feet) tall. A single Solidago erecta plant can produce up to 350 small yellow flower heads arranged in an elongated cluster.
