About Solidago drummondii Torr. & A.Gray

Solidago drummondii Torr. & A.Gray, commonly known as Drummond's goldenrod, is a species of flowering plant in the Asteraceae family that originates from North America. It is native to the middle Mississippi Valley region of the Central United States; its primary native range covers Missouri and Arkansas, and there are also additional established populations in Louisiana and Illinois. This species is a perennial herb that grows up to 100 cm (40 inches) tall, and it has an underground caudex along with rhizomes. A single individual plant can produce 200 or more small yellow flower heads, arranged in a large branching (sometimes drooping) cluster at the top of the stem.
