About Sisyrinchium xerophyllum Greene

Sisyrinchium xerophyllum, commonly known as jeweled blue-eyed grass or scrub blue-eyed grass, is a threatened species of perennial herb. It is endemic to the southeast coastal plain of the United States. It is primarily found in Florida, and there may also be some scattered populations in Georgia and North Carolina. This plant grows in exposed, sandy soils within the fire-dependent sandhill and scrub habitats.
