Sesbania herbacea (Mill.) McVaugh, also known by the synonym Sesbania exaltata, is a flowering plant species in the legume family. Its common names are bigpod sesbania, Colorado River-hemp, and coffeeweed. It is native to the United States, especially the southeastern states, where it grows in moist environments. It also occurs as an introduced species in other locations. This species is a woody herb that reaches a height of 3 meters or more. Its leaves are composed of many pairs of oblong leaflets. The inflorescence is a small raceme holding pealike flowers with yellow petals that may have purple spots.
