Endemic Distribution
It is endemic to four specific regions: southern Namibia, eastern Botswana, southern Zimbabwe, and Kruger National Park located in the Transvaal.
Growth Form and Habitat
This species is a soft-stemmed shrub that grows either as single individuals or in scattered, small groups in hot, dry habitats.
Size and Trunk Structure
It can reach up to 4 meters in height, with an extremely thick lower trunk that measures up to 1 meter in diameter, which gives rise to several thick branches.
