This plant is classified under the scientific name Senecio glomeratus Desf. ex Poir., and is also referred to as Erechtites glomeratus. It is an annual or perennial herb that can grow up to 200 cm (80 inches) in height. Its leaves are lanceolate or linear, and feature numerous pinnate lobes. A single plant can produce up to 120 flower heads, which are yellow or purple. Each flower head contains 50 or more disc florets, and does not have any ray florets.
