About Senecio deltoideus Less.
Senecio deltoideus Less. is a slender climbing plant that grows in clumps on the ground and in scrubland underbrush, reaching lengths of several feet. Its leaves are dull green, serrated, and broadly ovate, with silvery, paler coloring on their undersides. False, leaf-like stipules grow at the base of the leaf petioles. It produces numerous bright yellow capitula arranged on branched flower clusters. This species is native to Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Eswatini, and South Africa. It typically grows in rocky areas of montane grassland, ecotones between forest and grassland, ericoid scrub, riparian zones, and along waysides in regions with high precipitation.
