About Sedum sexangulare L.

Sedum sexangulare, commonly called tasteless stonecrop, is a species of succulent perennial evergreen plant in the genus Sedum. It resembles Sedum acre, but has shorter, denser leaves. It received its binomial name, which means "six-angled", for its characteristic six spirals of leaves. S. sexangulare reaches approximately 15 cm (5 in) in height. It is native to Europe and Asia, where it grows wild and is frequently cultivated as an ornamental plant. This plant grows well in either wet or dry sandy soil, and requires a sunny location. It produces yellow, star-shaped flowers in June and July, which attract bees and other insects.
