About Scutellaria multiglandulosa (Kearney) Small ex Harper
Scutellaria multiglandulosa (Kearney) Small ex Harper reaches a height of 1.5 to 8 decimeters, which is approximately 5.9 to 31.5 inches. Its lowest positioned leaves are triangular-ovate in shape and measure 0.7 to 3.5 centimeters long. Leaves growing higher on the plant range in shape from lanceolate to narrowly elliptic, and are between 2.5 and 6 centimeters long. This species flowers between April and May, and its flowers are blue to violet in color. The petals are 1.3 to 2.5 centimeters in length. Within the Coastal Plain region of the United States, Scutellaria multiglandulosa has been found in pine flatwoods, recently-burned scrubs, sandridges, longleaf pine forests, and other similar habitat types. It grows in environments with loamy soil, loamy sand, sandy soil, and gravel.
