About Scopula tessellaria (Boisduval, 1840)
Scopula tessellaria, commonly called the dusky-brown wave, is a moth species belonging to the family Geometridae. Its documented distribution includes Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Albania, former Yugoslavia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Romania, North Macedonia, Greece, Moldova, Ukraine, and Russia. To the east, its range extends into the Near East and the eastern portion of the Palaearctic realm. The larvae of this species are polyphagous. They have been recorded feeding on a variety of low-growing plants, including species in the genus Origanum.
