About Scopula minorata (Boisduval, 1833)

Scopula minorata is a moth species belonging to the family Geometridae. It was first described by Jean Baptiste Boisduval in 1833. This species is found in Africa south of the Sahara, the Arabian Peninsula, the islands of the Indian Ocean, and additionally in southern Europe. It can only be distinguished from the related species Scopula lactaria through examination of its genitalia. The wingspan of Scopula minorata ranges from 15 to 20 millimetres, which is 0.59 to 0.79 inches.
