About Scoparia exhibitalis Walker, 1865

Scoparia exhibitalis is a species of moth belonging to the family Crambidae. This species was first described by Francis Walker, and its accepted scientific name dates to 1865. It is found in Australia, with recorded occurrences specifically from New South Wales. The wingspan of adults of this species measures approximately 23 millimetres. Its forewings are primarily black, variegated with white, and marked with numerous white patches across the basal area. The antemedial line is white, with an additional white patch just beyond it at the wing's midpoint. There is also a large white postmedial patch that bears two black spots. The postmedial line is black, with a distinct white outer edge. Its hindwings are yellowish in base color, suffused with fuscous shading.
