Schinia tertia Grote, 1874 is a moth species belonging to the family Noctuidae. This moth is distributed in the western United States, occurring from Minnesota and Illinois to Texas, extending west to California and north to Idaho. Its wingspan measures approximately 25 millimeters. Adult moths are active between April and October, producing two generations per year. The larvae of this species feed on plants of the genus Ericameria, the species Isocoma pluriflora, and plants of the genus Liatris.
