About Schinia cumatilis Grote, 1865
Schinia cumatilis, commonly known as the silver-banded gem, is a moth species belonging to the family Noctuidae. This species was first formally described by Augustus Radcliffe Grote in 1865. It has a distribution range that extends from the Southwestern United States into Southern Canada. The wingspan of adult individuals is approximately 24 to 27 millimeters. The larvae of Schinia cumatilis feed on Artemisia frigida.
