Sceloporus hunsakeri, formally described by Hall & Smith in 1979, is a species of lizard belonging to the family Phrynosomatidae. It is commonly known by the common names Hunsaker's spiny lizard, and la espinosa de Hunsaker in Mexican Spanish.

Geographic Range

This species is endemic to the Mexican state of Baja California Sur.

Habitat

Its preferred natural habitat is rocky areas within shrubland, though individuals have also been found around buildings in urban areas.

Reproduction

S. hunsakeri is oviparous, meaning it reproduces by laying eggs.
