About Scapisenecio pectinatus (DC.) Schmidt-Leb.
Scapisenecio pectinatus (DC.) Schmidt-Leb. has the synonym Senecio pectinatus, and is commonly known as alpine groundsel. It is a species of flowering plant that belongs to the aster family. This species grows in alpine areas of south-eastern Australia, in peat-based soils. It produces divided leaves that form a basal rosette, and bears a single yellow flower head on a stalk that can grow up to 20 cm high; the flower head can reach up to 30 mm in diameter.
