About Scaevola canescens Benth.

Scaevola canescens, commonly known as grey scaevola, is a shrub that reaches up to 60 cm (24 in) in height. Its leaves are sessile, with smooth entire margins, and shaped oblong to oblanceolate. They measure 12–85 mm (0.47–3.35 in) long, 4–15 mm (0.16–0.59 in) wide, and are covered in dense hairs. Flowering occurs from March to October; flowers are borne in axillary spikes that grow up to 10 cm (3.9 in) long. The corolla is bearded, white with brownish veins. Its fruit usually produces just one seed. This species grows in the following IBRA regions: Avon Wheatbelt, Geraldton Sandplains, Jarrah Forest, Swan Coastal Plain, and Yalgoo.
