Satyrium edwardsii, commonly called Edwards' hairstreak, is a butterfly species belonging to the family Lycaenidae. Its range covers the eastern United States, and the southern portions of Canadian provinces extending from Saskatchewan to Quebec. The larvae of this species feed on Quercus species, including Quercus ilicifolia. Edwards' hairstreak is classified as an endangered species. One known location where this butterfly can be found is the prairie area at Adams Lake, Ohio.
