Saperda scalaris is a species of beetle that belongs to the family Cerambycidae. Carl Linnaeus first described this species in 1758, when it was originally classified under the genus Cerambyx. It has a broad distribution across both Europe and Asia. Two species of parasitoid wasps, Xorides praecatorius and Helcon angustator, prey on this beetle.
