About Salvia misella Kunth

Salvia misella Kunth, commonly called tropical sage, is an annual herb that grows across tropical America. It is most often found in semi-arid regions on disturbed bushy ground, at elevations ranging from sea level up to 2,200 metres (7,200 ft). This species is similar to and possibly closely related to Salvia occidentalis. It can be distinguished by its longer calyx, which measures 7 millimetres (0.28 in), and its 5 millimetres (0.20 in) blue flowers.
