About Salvia canariensis L.

Salvia canariensis, commonly called the Canary Island sage, is an erect perennial shrub native to the Canary Islands. In just one growing season, it can reach a height of 2.0 to 2.3 meters and a width of 1.5 meters. Its leaves are hastate and pale green; the plant's stems and the undersides of its leaves are covered in long white hairs. The flowers of this species display a range of colors from pale purple to deep purple magenta.
