About Saltugilia australis (H.Mason & A.D.Grant) L.A.Johnson

Saltugilia australis is an herb that grows a very thin, erect stem, which reaches up to 45 centimetres (18 inches) tall. At the base of the stem, it is surrounded by a rosette of leaves, whose leaf blades are divided into lobed segments. The plant produces a glandular inflorescence that bears tiny flowers. These flowers have green sepals that are sometimes dotted with purple, and are ribbed, with membranous tissue located between the ribs. The flower corolla grows up to 1 centimetre (0.39 inches) long, is white to lavender in overall color, and has a yellow throat.
