About Salta triflora (Griseb.) Adr.Sanchez

Salta triflora is a species of flowering plant belonging to the family Polygonaceae. It grows as a shrub or tree, and is native to northern Argentina, Bolivia, west-central Brazil, and Paraguay. It is the only species in the monotypic genus Salta. This species was first described under the name Ruprechtia triflora by August Grisebach in 1879. In 2011, Adriana Sanchez reclassified it into the newly described genus Salta, giving it the current name Salta triflora (Griseb.) Adr.Sanchez.
