About Salicornia blackiana Ulbr.

Salicornia blackiana Ulbr. is an erect or decumbent perennial herb with succulent, stem-like leaves. It reaches a maximum height of 0.8 meters. This species is very similar to the more well-known beaded glasswort, but it is larger. It can be distinguished from beaded glasswort by its thicker fruiting spike, which measures 4–9 mm in diameter, and its seeds that have blunt hairs or papillae.
