Sabulina nuttallii (Pax) Dillenb. & Kadereit is a rhizomatous perennial herb that grows into low mats of glandular, hairy foliage. Its leaves are thin and rigid, sometimes shaped like needles; they can reach just over one centimeter in length, but are barely one millimeter wide. The small flowers of this species have five white petals that are usually under a centimeter long, along with ribbed, pointed sepals.
