About Sabal etonia Swingle ex Nash
Sabal etonia Swingle ex Nash is a fan palm that typically grows with a single solitary stem. Its stem is most often subterranean, but sometimes grows above ground, where it usually reaches a height between 0.9 m (3.0 ft) and 1.2 m (3.9 ft). Mature plants usually produce between four and seven costapalmate leaves, and each leaf is made of 25 to 50 leaflets. Its inflorescences are branched, giving them a bushy appearance, and they are shorter than the plant’s leaves. These inflorescences bear brownish-black fruit, which measure 0.9–1.5 cm (0.4–0.6 in) by 0.8–1.3 cm (0.3–0.5 in) in diameter.
