About Russula persanguinea Cleland
Russula persanguinea Cleland is an agaric fungus species that belongs to the family Russulaceae. It was first described as a species new to science by John Burton Cleland in 1933. This fungus is found in Australia, where it grows either singly or in small groups on the ground in eucalypt forests and woodlands. It bears a close resemblance to Russula emetica, a common fungus species native to the Northern Hemisphere.
