About Rumex altissimus Wood

Rumex altissimus Wood, commonly called pale dock, is a widespread flowering plant species belonging to the Polygonaceae family. It is native to southern Ontario, the United States east of the Rocky Mountains (excluding Montana and North Dakota), and northern Mexico. This perennial herb grows in rich wet to mesic soils, reaches 4 feet (1.2 meters) in height, and produces yellowish-green to green flowers that are pollinated by wind.
