About Rufoclanis numosae Wallengren, 1860
Rufoclanis numosae, commonly known as the wavy polyptychus, is a species of moth belonging to the family Sphingidae. This species was first formally described by Hans Daniel Johan Wallengren in 1860. It is found in dry bush and arid savanna habitats across most of eastern and southern Africa. For males, the forewing length measures 22–30 mm, while for females it measures 34–36 mm. The total wingspan of this species ranges from 54 to 58 mm.
