About Rubus canescens A.DC.

Rubus canescens A.DC. is a species of brambles in the rose family, native to Europe and the Middle East. It grows across southern and central Europe and southwestern Asia, ranging from Portugal in the west to Iran in the east, and reaching northward as far as Germany, Poland, and Ukraine. The genetics of the Rubus genus are extremely complex, which makes it challenging to determine which groups should be classified as distinct species. Many Rubus species, including this one, are rare and have limited geographic ranges. Further study is recommended to clarify the taxonomy of this group.
