About Rosa corymbifera Borkh.

Rosa corymbifera, commonly called the thicket dog rose, is a flowering plant species belonging to the Rosaceae family. Its native range spans northwestern Africa, almost all of Europe, the Caucasus, the Middle East, and Central Asia. It can be distinguished from the dog rose Rosa canina mainly by having downier leaves, especially on the abaxial surfaces, which are the leaf undersides. Its cultivar 'Laxa' is the most widely used rootstock for garden roses in Europe.
