Rorippa barbareifolia, commonly known as hoary yellowcress, is a plant species that has been reported from Manchuria, Inner Mongolia, Mongolia, Siberia, Alaska, Yukon, and Saskatchewan. It grows in wet habitats that are not completely submerged, and can be found along forest borders, in ditches, on stream banks, and similar locations. This species is easily distinguished from other members of the genus Rorippa by its multi-valved fruits. Fruits of Rorippa barbareifolia have 3 to 6 valves, most commonly 4, while other species in the genus generally have 2 valves, and only rarely have 3. Rorippa barbareifolia is an annual herb that produces yellow, four-parted flowers.
