Rigiopappus is a genus of North American plants in the tribe Astereae of the family Asteraceae, and it is closely related to the genus Pentachaeta. This genus contains only one species, Rigiopappus leptocladus, which is sometimes commonly called wireweed. This is an annual plant that grows slender stems, which end in small, yellow daisy-like flowers. It is native to the western United States, specifically in the states of California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.
