Ribes acerifolium Howell is a North American currant species that goes by the common names mapleleaf currant and maple-leaved currant. This plant is native to the Canadian province of British Columbia, and also to the northwestern United States, specifically the states of Washington, Idaho, and Oregon. It is a trailing shrub that can reach up to 100 cm (40 inches) in height. It produces red or pink flowers and bears black berries.
