Rhyzobius litura is a species of beetle that belongs to the family Coccinellidae. It is found across the Palearctic region. Its distribution is centered primarily in Western Europe, and it occurs especially commonly in the United Kingdom. Towards the southeast, its range extends as far as Bulgaria and Greece. In the eastern part of its general range, Rhyzobius litura is partially replaced by its closely related species, Rhyzobius chrysomeloides. This species inhabits forest environments, where it can be found on trees and a variety of herbaceous plants. It occupies locations that offer protection from wind and inclement weather.
