Rhynchospora fusca (L.) W.T.Aiton, commonly known by the vernacular names brown beaksedge or brown beak-sedge, is a species of sedge in the family Cyperaceae. Its native range extends from Europe, through Central and Eastern Canada, to Northern Central and Eastern United States. It reaches an approximate height of 20 inches (0.51 meters), and produces brown spikelets that bloom between June and November.
